The 155-acre, multi-phase Business Park is home to numerous Fortune 500 companies

SAN DIEGO – January 14, 2019 – Murphy Development Company (MDC) announced today  that it has completed construction of the final building at Siempre Viva Business Park (SVBP), at 8500 Kerns St. in Otay Mesa. The 79,050-square-foot Building 17 features a 28-foot clear height, 2,000 amps of 277/480 volt power, manufacturing sewer and water capacity, ESFR sprinklers, concrete truck courts, wide column spacing, and high dock door ratios designed for distribution users.  Mainfreight is occupying approximately 33,000 square feet of the building; 46,000 square feet is available for lease.

MDC’s development team, which has been responsible for the entire Simpre Viva Business Park, included architect Gene Cipparone, K&S Engineering, Teshima Landscape Design, and Lusardi Construction as the general contractor.

The 2.1 million-square-foot business park on 155 acres near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry has become home to prominent global Fortune 500 companies such as Bose, Hitachi, NYK Logistics, General Dynamics, Pioneer, Samwha, Tyson, Mattel, US Joiner, Iron Mountain, United Parcel Service, Mitsui, Ajinomoto and Mainfreight.

Murphy also announced that CareFusion has moved into the 121,970-square-foot Building 18 at 2600 Melksee St. in SVBP under a five-year lease.   CareFusion, which was acquired by Becton Dickinson (BD) in March 2015, is occupying the entire building for warehousing, distribution, and other processes.
