President
Kaitlin Murphy Arduino is President of Murphy Development Company, a leading developer of corporate industrial and technology parks in San Diego with a 40 year history. Mrs. Arduino is responsible for day-to-day management of MDC, as well as all aspects of the development cycle including land use analysis and site selection, entitlement and permitting for the company’s corporate business parks, financing, construction project management, and leasing of the company’s vacant space. She oversees new acquisitions and all dispositions of MDC’s assets.
Murphy Development’s latest venture is in multifamily development, where they have 80 acres under contract in a growth area of Boise, Idaho. MDC plans to break ground in 2026.
In Otay Mesa, MDC completed two spec industrial buildings totaling 204,000 SF at Brown Field Technology Park Unit 2, located at the diamond interchange of Britannia Boulevard and SR 905. These were sold to Hines as part of a forward sale transaction in Q4 2023. MDC also completed and sold a 144,000 SF life science shell building to Alexandria Real Estate at their Scripps Ranch Technology Park which was leased to Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals. MDC has sold over $350 million in industrial and life science assets over the last 36 months.
Mrs. Arduino started her career at HFF, one of the country’s largest real estate capital intermediaries, now part of JLL. During her time there, Mrs. Arduino underwrote over $1.5 billion in commercial properties; as an originator, she closed over $90 million in financing.
Mrs. Arduino holds a Masters in Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics, where she graduated with distinction. She completed her undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Arizona. Mrs. Arduino is a member of CREW San Diego and is current Board President of NAIOP San Diego. She previously served on the SANDAG ITOC committee and the Otay Mesa Planning Group. Mrs. Arduino actively volunteers with Young Life, La Jolla Presbyterian Church and St. Germaine Children’s Charity.
